blah blah blah, phalluses and gladiators... ooooooh, and a whole hour of avant garde theatrical directions... or at least avant garde for the 80's

so what does that make them?

post- avant- garde...

how decadent.

how indulgent.

however, i did enjoy Sacha Waltz's free movement, as she was being chased by an axe and hopping around in a box. The fetishization of feet were tantalizing, none too fresh i'm sure, seeing as how they'd been dancing barefoot for a good half hour prior to them being on her face. The tribal chants made the piece.

So, on the work front. New directions in theatre. Kafka in the pool, performed by synchronized swimmers and a dj...? with handheld flashlight LX. nice. apparently they're completely sold out, and the run hasn't even started.

254 is done... booo hooo. but we had success with our Sound Project. FX 4 was a total, complete miracle success, seeing as how we recorded it blind... er, deaf, without any sound output into the booth... those tricky line-mic buttons.... my underwater, bathtub telephone distortion was eerie.

when i was little i used to think Fort Erie was spelled that way too.
