varnishing trees is sort of like what we do to everything else. take mascara for example, we coat our lashes with plastic to emphasize the NATURAL beauty of our own dark long lush lashes. lovely. if you think about it too much it gets sad... but i love the look of dark lashes, and trees that keep their needles... so we pretend that's what they always looked like. we're so good at faking natural that we forget we're faking.
