It's a little brutal
but totally understandable
to be slightly envious of your girlfriend.
Usually it's the ugly girl with the pretty best friend.
Or the gangly sister whose younger counterpart is pert and perfect.
My mother has always assured me, in a completely biased way, that I am the most beautiful girl in the world.
Except for my girlfriend.
Everyone thinks she's stunning.
Including me.
And for some reason she is in love with me,
even though she makes me look plain and pale.
I guess she can't be in love with herself.
